If you’re the one in the room that’s always cold – that could be a problem...

If you seem to get colder faster than everyone else, that could be cause for concern...

Here are some common ailments that can mess with your internal thermostat:

• Your thyroid: If it’s underactive, you may feel chilly a lot. Tell your doctor and ask for a test.

• Iron: If your levels are low, you may feel cold and even tired. Supplements and diet can make a big difference.

• Sleep: If you’re sleep deprived, your nervous system won’t be able to regulate body temperature the way it should.

• Circulation: Achy, itchy or numb hands and feet could indicate Raynaud’s Disease which limits circulation to the extremities. You’ll need to let your doctor know.
