The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has designed a flu app. It was intended for health care providers, but we can download it too. It’s got vaccination recommendations, diagnostic tools and all the flu news that’s fit to tap.

The CDC isn’t the only one getting in on the flu action. Here are some other apps that flu freaks might enjoy:

• FluFACTS: This one gives you email alerts when flu activity in your area is on the rise.

• Flu Near You: Enter your zip code and you can track local flu outbreaks. It even has a vaccine finder.

• Help I Have the Flu: This one is a Facebook app that lets you publicly blame the friend that gave you the flu.
