How many steps do you take each day? The good, the bad and the average...

How many steps do you think you've taken so far today?

Every step counts, from the first step out of bed to the last step back in. Your goal should be 10,000. It sounds like a lot but most of us are more than capable. The average person already takes 4,000 to 6,000 every day, without even thinking about it. However, if you work at a desk and sit there all day, that total could be as low as 2,000.

Just by making a few adjustments, you can get your count up to where it should be. You already know the routine: Park far away from the door, take the stairs, walk anywhere you can. If you invest in a pedometer, you’ll likely be more motivated to take a few more steps each day to beat yesterday’s total and improve your overall well-being.
