If your child or teenager loves junk food - they could be in for a side order of side-effects...

How about some eczema and hay fever to go with that burger and fries?

An International study of asthma and allergies is warning us that teenagers and young children who eat fast food are increasing their risk of asthma, eczema, hay fever and other respiratory issues. They say the association was most common in children aged 6 to 7 and adolescents 13 to 14.

If your kid can't kick the fast food habit, consider stocking up on some fruit. The study also found that those who ate fresh fruit at least three times a week were somewhat protected from the fast food afflictions.
