If there’s a room in your house that could use a fresh coat of paint – think produce...

Have a seat in the green room...

That seems to be the fresh trend in wall paint, according to the Paint Quality Institute. This year's most popular interior paint colors sound more like a trip down the produce aisle with shades such as apple, asparagus, celery, honeydew, lime and mint.

Pantone had already named emerald green as their color of the year, but the PQI says we’re better off toning it down a bit on the walls and opting for lighter shades, especially if you’ll be selling your house. Right next to the greens on the popular paint scale are some coordinating blues such as robin’s egg, turquoise and teal.
