Bird droppings can do some real damage to your paint. If left on there too long it can leach out the color and leave a permanently faded spot. Bird poop is also abrasive and can scratch the finish. The best approach is to pour a bit of no-salt seltzer water on the mess and gently pinch off any remains with a soft cloth.
