If your partner wears perfume or cologne – you might not want to kiss their neck...

We don’t always stop to think about it – but most of the smell-good products we spray and slather onto our bodies are full of chemicals...

When we spray or dab perfume and cologne onto our neck – we’re absorbing and even inhaling phthalates, which have recently been linked to some potential health hazards, including type 2 diabetes. If someone kisses our neck, they’re eating the phthalates.

Because fragrance and cosmetics companies aren’t required to list all the chemicals that go into making stuff smell so great, there’s no way of really knowing whether your favorite brands contain phthalates. If the word “fragrance” is in the list of ingredients, it’s probably got them.
