Forget those snoring strips – try saline instead...

Some snoring is serious – and difficult to stop...

But according to Murray Grossman, author of “Free Yourself from Sinus and Allergy Problems – Permanently,” a lot of snoring could be silenced with a simple saline solution. He says using a saline spray at bedtime can moisturize the nasal passages and reduce inflammation which is what causes most run-of-the-mill snoring.

Dr. Murray says commercial saline nasal sprays often contain preservatives that could actually increase congestion for some people. It’s easy to make a homemade solution. Use ¼ teaspoon of kosher salt, which is free of dyes. Stir that salt into a half cup of distilled water until it dissolves. Two or three squirts of that into each nostril at bedtime will increase your odds of a snore-free slumber.
