The sign for your yard sale can make or break it...

The success of your yard sale starts with the signs...

Bruce Littlefield, author of “Garage Sale America,” says you’ll get a lot more attention and business if you get a little creative. Use fun words like “Smokin’ Deals” or “Super Hot Sale.” People notice signs with a sense of humor or style.

Bruce also suggests using a single vibrant color for all of your signs to lead the way. Go with a vibrant pink or neon orange poster board and it will get noticed. You can even adorn your signs to appeal to your target audience. Balloons for kids, glitter for women or themed with sports, music or tools – whatever you’re selling.

  1. This is true...One Place near me, not really a tag sale, but a warehouse full of things people do not need any more, puts Huge white signs every five feet, simply stating"all clothes $1.00. Fridays 2 for 1" Man, it really works...
