The dosage instructions you memorized on the label of Extra Strength Tylenol have been changed now. It used to be 2 pills every 4-6 hours – 8 pills max per day. Now, the manufacturer has lowered that to lessen the risk of accidental liver-damaging overdose. The new recommended dosage on the label is 2 pills every 6 hours – 6 pills max per day.
