There’s no easy way to say this - but...

Regardless of how you feel about your boss – there are some phrases you probably DREAD hearing...

Here are a few phrases that are bound to ruin your day at work:

• “We've got a crisis on our hands.”
We? It may not have been your crisis, but it is now.

• “There's no easy way to say this.”
This could mean you're about to get fired, someone important to your project quit or you just lost your biggest customer.

• “Why don't you take some time off?”
Ouch. They don't want you in the office – and chances are it’s not because you’re doing everything right.

• “All your meetings have been canceled.”
Unless you have a contagious skin rash, you’re probably in trouble.

• “Um... how long did it take you to do that?”
No matter your answer, expect instructions to do it over again.

• “Do you really think your presentation went well?”
That's a subtle way of saying your presentation was a train wreck.

• “Can I have a word with you in private?”
If your boss says this, take a deep breath and brace yourself.

• “This is harder for me than it is for you.”
Don’t get too comfy, you won’t be staying long.
