If you just can’t make yourself exercise – you might have a legitimate excuse...

If you LOVE to exercise – good for you. If you poop out on your 3rd pushup – your genes could be to blame...

McMaster University scientists say that people who don’t want to exercise are not necessarily lazy - they may be missing the genes that control muscle building. In tests on mice, the ones without a certain gene couldn’t keep up with their buddies. Mice LOVE to run – and the average mouse can go for miles. The mice that were missing that gene looked identical to the others – but only made it down the hall and back once before calling it quits. That missing gene is responsible for switching on the enzymes our muscles need when we exercise.

The harder it is to exercise – the more you probably need it. The best way to counteract any missing genes is to pump up those muscle enzymes by forcing yourself to get up and get active.
