Eeek! A mouse! You could have kept him out...

If you’ve got a mouse in the house, they’re bound to invite all their friends over...

You'll need a mouse bouncer - in the form of steel wool. Give your house a thorough inspection – search out any holes, big or small, inside and out. Whenever you come across a potential portal – cram some steel wool in there. Mice hate steel wool so it’s more effective than some other materials that they may try to tamper with.

To get rid of the mouse that got in – you’ll need to set some traps. There are plenty of humane options on the market that really do work. Place traps flush against a wall, that's where mice prefer to scurry. If you’re a traditionalist, go ahead and give cheese a try in your trap – but mice love peanut butter and chocolate too. You’ll need to dispose of your mouse as soon as he’s caught. The smell of a mouse, dead or alive, attracts more mice.
