Can you hear me now?
Smartphone hackers are busier than ever. Accuvant security expert, Charlie Miller, says malicious hacker attacks on smartphones are skyrocketing. He says that’s because most of us are 3 times more likely to respond to malicious emails or text messages sent to our smartphones than on our home computers.
One reason mobile phones are so vulnerable is that they have smaller screens than computers - so most people don’t bother to read the fine print before clicking links, downloading, hitting “OK” or entering information. Malicious apps are another problem. They’re programmed to look like legitimate games, gadgets or calorie counters – but as soon as they’re downloaded, hackers could gain access to everything on your phone.
