If you’ve just GOT to have some Cheetos – opt for the puffed variety...
They’ve got more air in there and will fill you up faster. In a recent experiment, snackers were split into two groups. One group got to eat crunchy Cheetos, while the other group had the puffy ones. The puffy group ate a lot more by volume – but actually consumed less calories overall.
According to Dr. Barbara Rolls, author of “The Volumetrics Eating Plan,” all that air helps to fill us up until we can get to something healthier. Some other good edible air options are popcorn, rice cakes, whipped yogurt and puffed cereal for breakfast.
