Now is the time to stock up on Forever Stamps. Rates are going up as of January 22nd. Here’s the basic list of increases:
• Letters, 1 ounce or less, will increase 1 cent to 45 cents. Additional ounces stay the same at 20 cents.
• Postcards are going up 3 cents to 32 cents.
• Letters to Canada or Mexico will cost 5 cents more – 85 cents.
• Letters to other international destinations will increase 7 cents to $1.05.
It’s definitely worth your while to stock up on the Forever Stamps. You’ll pay the going rate now and they’ll be good forever – for regular First Class one-ounce letters. It gets a little trickier for heavier or international mail.
