Losing weight is the number one resolution people make each year...
If you’ve made it this far – congratulations! According to nutritional expert Heather Bauer, most people who resolve to diet are just setting themselves up to fail. She says we’re better off pledging to make healthier choices, such as cutting out processed and refined foods, than completely abandoning your normal diet and routine.
Personal trainer Scott White says people make the same mistake with their “get-in-shape” resolutions. Those who try to hit the ground running in the New Year usually burn out after a few weeks at the gym. He suggests we start out slow with our new gym or workout routine – and then gradually add more, until we’re up to about 30 minutes, 5 times a week.
