Wearing jeans could actually help you lose some weight...
A recent study by the American Council on Exercise found that people took 8 percent more steps during the workday on Casual Friday – or any day they skipped the office attire and wore jeans. Dr. John Porcari, who led the study, says dressing casually encourages increased physical activity. The denim-clad participants took an average of 491 MORE steps over the course of the workday and burned an extra 25 calories. That would be equivalent to losing almost 2 pounds of body weight per year.
