If you’re not really into art – you could be at a disadvantage. New artsy research...

If you need an excuse to start appreciating art – here’s a new one...

According to researchers at the University Tor Vergat in Italy, art-loving stroke survivors had faster and better odds of recovery. Of the survivors they looked at, they discovered those who enjoyed music, painting and theater were happier and healthier, with more energy and mobility than those who didn't. The artsy types also had heightened memory and communication skills.

Art appreciation benefits those who haven’t had a stroke too. A recent Norwegian study found that cultured women and men, who attended more concerts, art galleries, and the theater, lived happier and in better health than those who didn’t.
