If you’d like to protect your family from contaminated food – check the label. Here's what to look for...


There have been some frightening food recalls lately...

...but unfortunately, we don’t get the warnings until AFTER the tainted food is on the shelves. According to the CDC, the majority of foodborne disease outbreak comes from imported food. 85% of our seafood and 60% of fresh produce comes from somewhere else. The problem is that there are only enough U.S. regulators on staff to check a mere 1.53% of those imports. Our safest bet is to buy locally grown or raised produce and meat.
