Do yourself a favor today – get upside down...

When is the last time you were upside down?

Those who do yoga can tell you how great inversions feel – as can kids hanging from the monkey bars or mastering a head stand. While some of those might be bold attempts for most of us, there are some more subtle inverted positions for beginners. Just lying on the floor with your legs on a chair and pillow under your hips for a few minutes can give your lower body a break from gravity, improve blood flow to the heart and leave you feeling energized. If your're limber and flexible, try the shoulder stand position. Lying on your back, roll onto your shoulders, support your back with your hands and get your torso and legs vertical. Mastering this move improves balance, stability, oygen levels and mental clarity.
