Is the car you’re driving politically correct?

If you spot a convertible on the road, there’s a good chance a conservative is behind the wheel...

A recent study found that members of the GOP are driving 69% of them. The marketing research company Strategic Vision set out to identify which cars people preferred, politically. Here are their results:

The top Republican picks were the Ford Mustang Convertible, the Audi A8, the Mercedes GL, the Ford Expedition and the Ford F-150 pickup truck.

The top Democratic choices were the predictable Honda Civic Hybrid, the Volvo C30, the Nissan Leaf, the Acura TSX Wagon and the Ford Fiesta Sedan.

Before defaulting to the Secret Service fleet, President Obama reportedly drove a Ford Escape Hybrid and a Chrysler 300. Mitt Romney says he’s either behind the wheel of his Chevy truck or messing up his hair in his 2005 Mustang GT convertible – red of course.
