Pretty soon, you’ll be able to show you really mean it, with just a click. Facebook is rolling out a new birthday feature that lets you add a gift. This isn’t just a virtual cocktail or icon gift, it’s the real thing. The feature is already available in some areas, and will let you click a link and choose from a variety of approved vendors.
Starbucks, Gund teddy bears and Magnolia Bakery are among the first to get in on the gifting option. You can keep your gift-giving just between the two of you or let the whole Facebook world know what a great friend you are. Most of the gifts are in the $20 to $30 range.
