According to research from Florida State University, men prefer brunettes in long-term relationships because they perceive them as more reliable and steady. 

If you’re blonde, you may like the next statistic. The brunette is more likely to lose her hair. Most American women with visible hair loss are brunettes because they have fewer follicles to begin with and thinning patches are more noticeable.

The study also determined that redheads are actually having more fun than both the blondes and brunettes. They scored the highest on the fiery passion scale, which might explain why Clairol says shades of red are their most popular.
