What season is your skin? Why it matters...

Everyone has their own skin tone – and they can all be categorized by season...

According to Kelly Machbitz, a certified image consultant, determining your skin season is important. It will help you choose the right colors to enhance your natural glow. Check the inside of your forearm for your season:

• Winter skin is pale with blue or pink undertones or milky white. You look best in sharp colors like black and blue. Avoid light brown.

• Summer skin is primarily pink or ivory. You look best in pastels and you should avoid black and orange.

• Autumn skin is beige or olive and common for redheads and brunettes. They look great in oranges, browns and other earthy tones but they should avoid black and white.

• Spring skin is light and freckled, bronze or deep brown. Yellows, greens and blues are all great choices – but they should avoid back and white as well.
