Do hiring managers prefer a hand-written thanks – or an email?

You made it through the interview and it’s time to write the follow-up thank you note...

Put down the pen and start typing. A recent Accountemps survey reveals that 87% of hiring managers prefer that thank-you emailed rather than hand-written. They’re also more likely to hang onto it, in their email archives.

If you’d rather call with a thank-you, that’s fine too. 81% say they appreciate getting a thank-you phone call which suggests you’re extra enthusiastic about the position.
