Do you feel obligated to leave a tip - or do you really mean it?
A recent study found that some people actually LIKE to leave a tip and might even feel a little disappointed if they can’t. Reasons happy tippers cite include helping a low-wage worker out, showing gratitude for good service or even either liking the opportunity to prove how generous they are.
Both high and low tippers say they like that added control over their purchase and report experiencing a sense of pride, guilt, obligation or satisfaction via their tip.
