Bigger isn’t always the better value when it comes to packaged food. Where to look for the REAL price,...

If you think the bigger box is a better value in the supermarket, think again.

According to Consumer Reports, 25% of brand name items aren’t priced that way. In many cases, we end up spending even more per ounce for the “value” pack.

In order to be sure you’re getting the best price for the volume inside, disregard the actual price. You’ll need to look at the unit price which is usually to the left of the item price. Compare that number between sizes to determine which box is really better.
