Do you wash your clothes with cold, warm or hot water?

If you change the water temperature settings on your washing machine according to what’s in there – don’t bother...

According to Jamie Novak, author of “Stop Throwing Money Away,” a recent study found loads washed on the cold/cold setting got just as clean as those washed with warm or hot. Even heavy grime and grass stains passed the cold water test.

Not only does washing in cold water prevent fading and shrinking – it saves over $100 on the average utility bill over the course of a year.
