Back Seat Mom

Posture counts – even when you’re driving...

If your mother isn’t in the car with you, there’s something else in there that can remind you to sit up straight – your mirrors. Good driving posture isn’t just good for your body – it keeps you alert and improves reaction time. Take a moment to readjust your mirrors when you first get into your car. Sit up straight – and they’ll probably need to be a little higher than they already are. By raising your mirrors a bit, you’ll be reminded to straighten up every time you use them.

While you’re at it, make sure your seat and steering wheel are in good posture positions. Your legs should be slightly bent, and your shoulders slightly behind the line of your hips.
