If you need to buy some booze – buy in bulk...

Buying stuff in bulk can be a waste of product, space and money...

However, there are some things you really should consider stocking up on. Consumer Reports has some of the best bulk buys:

• Alcohol is a lot cheaper in bulk. If you’re planning a party you should definitely consider buying your spirits from a warehouse club. For example, Corona beer is about 25 percent less there and you’ll save about 15% on a bottle of Grey Goose vodka. In most cases you don’t even have to buy that much.

• If your family goes through a lot of cereal, than bulk is the way to go. You can save up to 50 percent.

• Dried beans and pasta are smart bulk buys because they last a long time and don’t take up too much space. Your savings will be 20 to 30 percent.

• Toilet paper and paper towels are worth the bulk buy IF you have the space. They cost up to 50% less in bulk.

• Toothbrushes are a good pick too. You’ll save about 50% on some decent brands. It’s good to have plenty of new ones on hand through cold and flu season.
