Social Media Time

Time flies when you’re networking...

If you are more in touch with your social media friends or followers than the real people in your life - you may be on social media overload. 15 minutes a day should do the trick. If you’re spending much more time than that online – you might want to pick and choose your outlets – or alternate them a bit. Generally speaking, Twitter should be in quick bursts. Taking the time to filter out followers and who you’re following could save you a lot more time in the long run.

Facebook is the cocktail party of social media – once you go in, it could be hard to get out fast. Again, filtering out the posts by friends you don’t need to see updates from regularly could really streamline your visits.

If you can’t get enough of social media – just keep in mind you may be overloading others. If you link your social media accounts together – you’re probably repeating yourself to your friends and followers – consider keeping them separate. By unlinking your accounts – you’ll also be less prone to making professional gaffs by mixing up business and pleasure.
