Draw a Tree

If you’d like to gain some hidden insight to your own personality – quick – draw a tree.

There’s a simple personality test you can take – or give to someone else – that reveals a bit about your subconscious. You’ll need to draw a picture of a tree. Now, Jonathan Rich, professor of psychology at California Southern University, will help us figure out what your tree has to say about you:

• The trunk: If it’s wide you’re the patient type and can weather any storm. If it’s lean – you’re sensitive and open-minded. If it’s forked at the top – you’re torn between decisions.

• The limbs: If your tree doesn’t have any – you rule with your emotions. If it does have limbs you’re the analytical type and don’t leave much to chance.

• The leaves: Each leaf represents a thought – if you’ve got a lot on there, you enjoy contemplation. If your tree is bare – you’d rather choose a plan of action first.

• The Roots: If you left those off of your tree –you’re independent and probably have a 5-year plan. If you did draw roots – you put family first and are probably patriotic and loyal.

If you drew things IN your tree – like a bird, animal or flower – consider yourself an optimist. If you drew grass under your tree – you’re a people person and naturally put others at ease.
