Reject Response

If you get a “no” on that job you applied for – you’re not done yet...

If you were lucky enough to land that interview – but not lucky enough to seal the deal – you’ve still got a little more work to do. According to career expert Bruce Hurwitz, it’s well worth your while to follow up with a thank-you note anyway. He says no usually really does mean no, but you can take this opportunity to position yourself for the next opening – or to get back in there if their pick doesn’t pan out.

After the rejection – buck up and send a follow-up note thanking them for the opportunity and wish them well. They WILL remember you for future opportunities.
