Act Your Shoe Size

If you’d like to get healthier – act your shoe size, not your age!

When is the last time you jumped rope, played Frisbee, or gave a Hoola Hoop a whirl? Most of us grown-ups could really use some playtime in our daily lives. According to Toni Yancey, author of “Instant Recess,” getting back to some things you liked as a kid can make a huge difference in keeping us fit. The average American adult only gets about 10 minutes of vigorous exercise a day – and adding just another 10 minutes doubles that.

Toni says by thinking like a kid we can take the burden out of getting active. Make a list of things you liked to do as a kid – chances are there are a few things on there you’d still enjoy. Now go fly a kite!
