If you’re tempted to cheat on those numbers - brace yourself for some serious brain damage. A recent French study looked at men and women who had experience a stroke and found an alarming link with drink. Those who consumed three or more drinks a day were hit by the stroke 14 years younger than average stroke patients.
You’ll even need to be careful with the one or two drinks. Many bar drinks or generous pours at home exceed what is actually considered a drink by US standards, which is ONE of the following:
• 12 ounces of beer
• 5 ounces of wine
• 1.5 ounces of hard liquor
