It’s not easy killing germs when someone in your house is sick...
Even if you’re all washing your hands and sanitizing surfaces, those germs could be swirling around in your washing machine. When it comes time to wash the patient’s germy sheets and pajamas, consider adding a cup of antiseptic mouthwash. It will kill the bacteria and is gentler on clothes and more versatile than straight bleach.
Mouthwash is also handy for a load of extra stinky clothes. It kills odor-causing bacteria, unlike regular laundry detergent which just masks the smell with perfume.
