Your winter gloves have probably been getting a real workout lately – but when is the last time you washed those?
Just think of all the germs that slide in and out of there and the dead skin cells that have accumulated. A lot of us also cram those damp gloves into a dark spot like a pocket or closet which only encourages mildew.
In order to clean your mittens or gloves, you’ll need to check the tag. Many synthetic or cotton types can be tossed into the laundry and air dried. For leather gloves it can be trickier. Most will recommend using saddle soap or a conditioning soap and washing them while on your hands to prevent shrinkage.
