Most of us get into the car and adjust the seat, the heat, the mirrors and the radio - but not many people check the headrest...
Where that’s positioned can make a huge difference in potential injury, should you be struck from behind. Russ Rader, of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety says most people just leave the headrests in the down position, which will actually put your neck at risk.
The best position for your headrest is up. It should line up with your ears. If it has an option to move it a bit closer to your head, that’s even better.
