Timothy Harlan, author of “Just Tell Me What to Eat,” says eating too much sugar and processed carbohydrates produces AGEs - or advanced glycation end products. These put you at higher risk for a number of diseases and also damage collagen and fibers in your skin. Here’s what’s on the aging menu:
• Potato chips and French fries
• Doughnuts and sugary pastries
• Hot dogs, bacon, and pepperoni
• Less-than-lean red meats
• Alcohol - more than 1 drink for women and 2 drinks for men
