Summer Stink

Summer is full of funky smells...

Ahhh, the smells of summer. Tropical breezes and mildewed clothes. If that bathing suit or beach towel smells a bit funky – try spritzing some vodka on there. Vodka kills bacteria but doesn’t leave a scent. Just make sure to hang the stuff in a well ventilated area to dry. Here are a few more summer scent refreshers:

• The garbage disposal can smell a bit ripe in warm weather. Run some hot water in there, drop some orange, lemon or lime peels in there, and turn it on.

• If your freezer smells weird – wipe some vanilla extract on the walls of it with some cotton.

• Carpets are like odor sponges. To freshen them up – sprinkle some baking soda around, let it sit a few hours, then vacuum.

• If you’ve got a stinky basement – cut an onion in half and let it sit there overnight. The onion smell goes away and takes some musty odors with it.
