In Case of Emergency

Do you have a master information kit?

It’s not a pleasant thought – but if something terrible were to happen to you – would your loved ones know where to find everything? In case of emergency – it’s a really good idea to have some important stuff all in one place so anyone trying to help you doesn’t have to play detective. That’s where your master information kit comes in. Here’s a list of what should be in there:
• Contact information – closest relatives and employer.
• Your will. You DO have a will – don’t you?
• Insurance information.
• Financial information – a list of banks, phone numbers and accounts.
• Pet information with contact info for a veterinarian.
• Property information –car, home, deeds, etc.

There are several forms and guides available online to help you with a master information kit. The website ready.gov has a step by step guide to help you get a family plan in place.
