Big Bills

What is the highest U.S. Currency bill?

If you’ve ever heard there is a 1 million dollar bill out there – that’s true – but it’s not real. It’s a novelty item and the Statue of Liberty is usually on there. There are some pretty high valued REAL bills in circulation though:

• Grover Cleveland is on the $1,000 bill.

• James Madison made it onto the $5,000 bill.

• Salmon P. Chase served as U.S. Treasury Secretary under Lincoln – and as the guy on the $10,000 bill.

• Woodrow Wilson almost looks happy to be gracing the highest valued U.S. currency – the $100,000 bill.
