Good news! Something delicious is actually GOOD for us - for a change...

Real maple syrup is the perfect complement to fall – but we should be eating it year round!

Researchers have found 54 beneficial compounds in there, five of which were never before seen in nature. Real maple syrup is rich in antioxidants and has natural anti-inflammatory properties that help protect against cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s and bacterial illness.

Make sure it says “pure maple syrup” on the label – and the darker the better. The darker varieties have more flavor and nutrients. Think outside the pancake box with maple syrup. It tastes great with some fall vegetables, as a glaze for your entrée, as a topping for ice cream or yogurt and even to sweeten your coffee or tea.
