Eat your cocoa!

Have you had your cocoa today?

We should all be getting some – and we don’t just have to drink it hot. Cocoa can help to keep our spirits up, our blood pressure and cholesterol down and our skin radiant. Here are some cocoa powder suggestions:

• Hot cocoa is one delicious option – but you can also add a tablespoon of cocoa powder to your coffee for some extra flavor and a healthy dose.

• Skip the sugar and sprinkle some cocoa on your breakfast cereal. Cocoa in your oatmeal is another great option. It also mixes nicely with smoothies and yogurt.

• Cocoa powder can even add a rich unique taste to beef stews and casseroles, and compliments fall vegetables like squash and pumpkin.

If for some reason you don’t like the taste of cocoa – you can still use it for your skin. It’s packed with antioxidants that help repair skin cells and neutralize free-radicals. Cocoa facial masks are all the rage and easy to make at home.
