There is an art to selling stuff.
Whether it’s a prduct, a service or even yourself, Daniel H. Pink, author of “To Sell Is Human,” has a few tricks to help seal the deal:
* Find a negative. Buyers are more likely to purchase something when they were told about a minor problem. Pointing out an insignificant flaw can also help to build trust.
* Use a mild profanity. It helps to drive home our conviction, especially if we don’t normally sear. Skip the really filthy words, and choose one that proves your damn good.
* Find something they’ve missed. Instead of just trying to solve someone’s problem, point out a benefit they haven’t thought of yet.
