Bad news for those who suffer from migraines.
A recent review by Danish researchers reports that migraine headaches can result in brain damage - especially for those who suffer from MWA, or migraines with auras.
The researchers analyzed brain scans from those suffering from migraines and compared them with those who don’t. The results showed that participants with migraines were left with tiny lesions in the brain’s white matter. While more research is underway, the impact of the potential brain damage for those who get migraines is still unclear.
