Grill Pro

How many times have you used your grill this season?

If you’ve used your grill 15 times this season – you’ve got some cleaning to do. According to “barbecue life coach,” Gary Wiviott, your food will taste better – and your grill will last longer if you clean it every 15 to 20 uses. And he doesn’t mean just crank up the heat and scrape the grate – he’s talking about a deep down belly clean. That involves turning off the gas supply, removing a few parts, and clearing any debris from the interior belly of the grill as well as the interior of the lid. While you’re in there – check the gas jets of the grill. If there is any grease or grit clogging the holes, you’ll need to gently clear them with a toothpick.

Gary says it’s worth the trouble to clean that grill. Not only will your food taste better and cook evenly – you could save yourself a lot of time and money by preventing damage to some of the key cooking components in there.
