If you’d like to burn some calories – grab a mop!
If you’ve been putting off some of those household chores – look at the bright side – some of them burn some serious calories:
• Sweeping or mopping – 240 an hour.
• Mowing the lawn – 325 and hour – with a push mower of course.
• Painting – 290 an hour.
• Gardening – 250 per hour.
• Shoveling – 415 an hour.
It’s not all heavy lifting. Cooking burns 150 calories an hour and washing the dishes – 38 calories in 15 minutes.
