We seem to have “organic” choices just about everywhere now...
Chances are you’ll see the word “organic” plastered on something in every aisle of the grocery store. All things organic is a popular trend – but it’s not just a gimmick. Here is a list of organic food we really should pay a little extra for:
• Apples – they’ve got the highest levels of pesticide.
• Celery – one piece could have up to 14 types of pesticide on there.
• Strawberries – that bumpy texture hangs onto a lot of chemical residue.
• Peaches – the fuzzy texture poses the same problem as the strawberries.
• Grapes – the imported non-organic variety are bursting with pesticides.
• Potatoes – they’re heavily exposed to pesticides and fertilizers in the ground.
